It wicks a little bit of moisture to the outside and feels damp when you take it out of the pail, other than that, it works exactly as expected. I haven't tried any other brands as this was the cheapest I could find. There may be better ones out there, but expect to pay more. BTW, this IS the large size bag, it will fit a standard garbage can, not just 6 diapers as described in the product features.
