(More customer reviews)When I chose to switch to cloth diapering, I went with the Softbums system entirely. I loved the all-in-2 concept, because I would do less laundry by reusing the covers a few times before each wash. I also loved that they are one-size, so that I don't have to buy several sizes as my baby grows.
When my Softbums arrived, they were on their smallest setting & it was clear that they would easily fit a newborn baby. I let the leg toggles out a bit & tried one on my 2 year old & it fit him perfectly! Over the past few months I have tried them on the babies I watch & there has not been a single baby that these diapers do not fit well. And I have never had a diaper leak, even overnight & I do not change him any more often that I did with disposables.
I was most reserved about washing the diapers, but it has been much easier than I expected. The material of the absorbent liner that is against baby's skin is designed for #2 to "roll" right off into the toilet, so I have never had to rinse & swirl & whatever else our mom's used to have to do. I toss the liner in a wet bag with the other soiled ones & every 3 days I take the whole bag down to wash. I do the longest cold wash my ancient machine can do with about 1/4 Purex Free & Clear, then I do the same wash on hot with no detergent & then I line dry.
I could not be happier with Softbums!
